Round up! January

image

Sales were not as good this week as last week! However, I think things will start picking up. I’m experimenting with free shipping as well! Check it out!
I got these frogs (above) in a bag of stuff for .99 cents. I tried to get .99 out of it but someone did the BIN for $4.50. Someone is getting a good deal. This can be up to $17 if he would have waited for v-day!

Here  (below) is one of my free shipping. I probably will raise the price as I get more confident with things!

I was pretty excited that these Limited pants sold so quickly and for $10 plus shipping!
image
I did not think Liz Claiborne would go this fast! But someone got a great deal for these like new pants!
image

It wasn’t until after I posted this that I found out what they were! They are zimmbos and sell for about $18 for a whole set on Amazon. I was pretty happy with my sell price even without the right tag on them. ‘Specially since they are not a complete set!image
My Friend at Mom's Paycheck sold some Trivial cards and that inspired me to post these rather than toss them. I got them and a bunch of other items for .99 cents, and sold these for almost $10. Shipping cost me around $4 so it was a nice profit for something I would have thrown away.
image

Rabbit’s fur! yes, this soft sweater has Rabbit’s fur in it! Sold for $10 with a last second bid!
image

These pants had 2 bids, from the same bidder, that always makes me wonder how high they were willing to go!

Weekly Round up! What I sold on eBay!

Well my first week back into selling in months and my reports say I made…….

$185.32

Saaawwweeetttt!

Hello eBay! I’m back!!

I bought a few bags of stuff for 99 cents each….6 to be exact! And thankfully, my 1st sell paid for all 6!

I sold these Trash Pack toys for $7!

 IMG_4235 \

I was pretty excited to see these smurfs due to the movie, alas, they only sold for 99 cents, but that paid for the whole bag of toys I purchased, some of which I’m not even trying to sell so at least it wasn’t a bust.

 IMG_4230

One thing I tried to sell but it didn’t sell is this AWESOME melissa and doug butterfly!

The circles come off AND the shapes come off! My 6 mo old likes it, my 2 yr old plays with it and my 4 yr old was showing Daddy how it’s done. Defiantly worth the 99 cents I paid for the whole bag! Wait, though, I got that back already- Score.

I was surprised that Melissa and Doug items don’t resale for much.

Any thoughts?

 IMG_4231

Sold these for 99 cents as well! That double paid for another bag.

They don’t usually sell well for me so I was happy. If I had more storage I might try to save up and sell a bunch, but I guess I’d have to get more if I wanted to do that and I just don’t see them often.

 IMG_4241

One of the bags had this Tonka bulldozer. It fits in the palm of your hand so it is small and it sold for: $2.99

IMG_4319

I know none of those seemed like that great of sales but I got more than my money’s worth and when I buy miscellaneous stuff I’m just happy to break even with the risk!

On to bigger and better things!

This OSU cover didn’t work for my friend’s phone when she realized she wanted a hard case for it. She said she paid $20 for it and just gave it to me.

I sold it for $12. Someone got a good deal by buying this!

IMG_4198

Several people have given me clothing to go through. I found two items of lingerie and since I’ve never sold it but figure it sells good I figured I’d stick it on there!

This Gilligain and Omalley sleepwear sold for $5 with shipping. Not much but something!

Picnik collage

This Intimissimi Pink and cream top and bottom lingerie Victoria Secret  Faired better bringing me $10.01 with shipping.

IMG_4324

Sold for asking price of $10. I should have done a higher BIN price but I think I was pretty tired when I posted this! Now I’m wondering if I should snatch up any animal skin colored items!

IMG_4384

This Nike pull over was worn by me last spring. It just didn’t work for me any more. I got it for .99 cents and sold it for $3. When I add getting to wear it for a season, I’m happy.

IMG_4182

These J Crew pants were a pleasant surprise when a bidding war happened and they reached $15.50. With this horrid photo to boot! Can you tell I kept them folded over a wire hanger since summer? NOT doing that again!

Round up!

I know I talked about the grab bags I’ve been getting. Well, they are paying for themselves! Now, I haven’t discovered any $100 items but at least I can support my habit! LOL!

I sold these Roll around balls, 6 of them for .99 cents plus shipping.

417u1jSOzyL

Canon photo paper 50 sheets Glossy 4x6= .99

Bought in a grab bag for .45 cents with a whole but of other things

Sold for .99 plus shipping

Sold this rabbit for $1.75 after a bidding war of 3 bids. Shipping was $1. Not bad for getting it in a grab bag for .45 cents!

image

I also got this Yoshi  which I sold for .99 to someone in Sweden willing to pay $17 shipping! Maybe he is hard to find in Sweden?

IMG_2072

These curlers I got for 45 cents and they not only got the opening bid of $6.99 but sold for $8.01 with $7 shipping! They don’t have the metal pins that hold the hair on the curlers But they worked great and I made a tidy sum on these! Oh, by the way my son found these in the store. He is three. Yep, that makes up for more than the toys I’ve purchased for him on “special” day trips to the thrift store!

IMG_2442

My husband got this free vikings hat when he ran the warrior dash a few weeks ago. I realized most people pay $10 on the Warrior dash website for these silly things and with the most dressed up holiday around the corner I figured it wouldn’t hurt to sell this. And sell it did. Someone paid $7 for this thing. And now I don’t have it in my house. Win win!

IMG_2074

Someone paid $11 for these John Deere boots. I got them for free so it was a great deal on both sides!

Surprise high bid items!

You can sell anything on Ebay. Anything. We all know this. But with the recent 150 free items to list I put this theory to the test!

Here is what happened:

IMG_2068

This is a “super cloth” I picked up at a garage sale for less than $1. I really don’t remember. I sold it today for a total of $11. Yay me!

IMG_2058

I purchased a few Monopoly games for $.45 each and this is the money from one of them. A guy in Canada paid $6.50 for this little pile!

IMG_1686

These train set pieces also came in a $.45 cent bag. I’ve made my money back about 50 times with that bag! Sold for: $5.26.

Now, I know this doesn’t mean I’m making hundred’s of dollars worth of stuff sold but each little item gets shipped out my door it means two things.

  • I just made some money
  • I just got rid of something

Both are a huge success. If I sold it than that usually means I did a good job buying it! Or at least made my money back!

Craigslist! I’m back!

Well, I took a long sabbatical from Craigslist but I am back! I got in the mindset that eBay was easier because I can just walk out to my mailbox. But eBay can take 7+ days to sell and then the money goes to paypal, then you can do something with it but you never REALLY see it. I REALLY like cash in hand!

I got this bed at the thrift store’s spontaneous “all furniture is 1/2 off right now” sale.

4772827cfa50be4537eae43329702

And no, that is not my garage. Want to know how lazy I am? I stole this photo from Google image search! It is the same bed but I didn’t have the slates or the hardware for the one I got for $7.50. I thought about keeping it. I could paint it black and it would totally match the kid’s room furniture! But I really don’t need any more furniture anywhere in my house. So I thought about painting it white so it would resale better. But without the slates I couldn’t really set it up for a good picture. So I decided to flip it for the few bucks I could get out of it. I listed it for $25 or $39 if I painted it black or white and I got 2 calls the first day with a return call the second day and a pick up! Score! I sold it for $20 and felt great cuz it was an awesome grandparent couple who were sooo sweet!

I never took it out of my car until they met me and they met me at my church where I was at for a meeting…didn’t even spend gas. It was a $12.50 turn over which is small for furniture, but I have a happy older couple with a bed for their kids and a happy husband, who never saw the bed outside the van, and $20 in my pocket to go thrifting with! I’d say it is a win win win!

I know. It doesn’t take much to excite me.

I did get inspired and reposted a breast pump I got much earlier this summer.

100_0093

The lady at the garage sale was giving it away and thinking I could use it for my sister-in-law I picked it up but now it is just collecting dust in my closet so after having little luck selling it earlier I posted it back on and had 2 questions about it within the 1st 30 minutes. One said she wasn’t interested in it but the other is still asking questions.

Piece by piece: selling big items!

A wonderful friend of mine heard I needed a swing for the new baby and gave me their very nice swing. I tried to use it but unfortunately the motor had gone out and it was rather useless to me though I did sit and rock him a few times!

Side to Side SettingAs you can see it was far to large of an item to ship out if you want to keep shipping cost low. But I had read in a blog where selling parts can make you some money so I did. I took the whole thing apart. I put up of auction the tray, the seat cover, the fish (I only had 3) The battery cover, and the button cover. I figured anything else and the person should probably just get a new swing. The seat seems to sell as well but it wasn’t worth my time trying to package it up for the $10 I would make.

I notice a lot of watching on all the items and this is what I made off them.

Blue Button cover= $0

Yes, it didn’t sell, but it was worth a shot!

image

Tray= $5.35

image

Seat cover= $7.49

Seat Belt= $5.50

2 Fish= $4.25

1 Fish + battery cover= $4.50

Total= $27.09

I just looked these up on my local Craigslist and found that a similar swing is for sell, fully functional for $40! I made more than half of that and sold only the little parts! Yay!

This would also be a great way to get some money back if you buy a fluke toy 2nd hand!

An Easy Buck – selling formula coupons!

I’ve received lots of formula coupons in the mail. In the past I would sigh and wish it was $5 off something I used. Like diapers or wipes, and then toss them into the trash. But no more!

An acquaintance happened to say something about how he would sell (on Ebay) the formula coupons he and his wife received after they had twins. I didn’t sell much on eBay back then but the seed was planted. I’ve had great success at it but today proved that they are a hot item, year round no less!

I put up THIS AUCTION (I know, with a crummy picture!) and within probably 2 hours the $15 worth of coupons sold for $10 buy it now price! Sweeeeet! And I saved a tree…or at least delayed throwing away the paper for a little while! Lol!
I started it out with a $3 auction and thought I would stick a BIN price on it. I thought $10 for $15 worth of stuff was a fair price and I have to say I guess it really was!
Here are a few more auction that have sold formula coupons:
$7 for $10 worth of Similac coupons
$31 for $40 worth of Similac coupons
